The US installed 723MW of PV in the first three months of this year, GTM says, accounting for 48% of all new electricity-generation capacity brought on line across the country.
That figure is a record for the first quarter, although it is a significant decline from the 1.3GW added in the final quarter of 2012 – a performance fuelled by the see-sawing utility-scale segment.
