The solar plant extends to an area of 115 hectares, distributed over five sites in the Aquitaine region near Bordeaux.
Construction has already started and is slated to be completed by July 2014, BayWa said.
BayWa is the main contractor for the project and will build the individual plants in cooperation with a regional project developer.
