Installationat the project around 12 kilometres off the coast of North Wales had begun inMay and the wind park started feeding first electricity to the grid in August.

SWM owns30% of the wind park, with RWE Innogy holding another 60%, and Siemens theremaining 10%.

Gwynt y Môrwill be the world’s second-largest wind farm after its completion in 2014.

The stakein the wind park is part of SWM’s strategy to provide enough green energy by2025 to be able to supply all of the electricity needs of Munich, Germany’sthird-largest city and one of its most vital economic centres.
