Element raises $183m to increase portfolio



Element Power has raised $183m in capital commitments for development of its global portfolio of solar and wind projects, company officials tell Recharge.

Among the financing sources are institutional and Spanish investors, and sovereign wealth funds. “We expect to use these funds to grow our wind and PV solar pipelines in the US, South America and Europe, where we continue to find attractively priced opportunities that offer compelling risk-adjusted returns,” says Element Power executive chairman Pedro Barriuso.
