SCE builds two-way circuits to boost PV



Southern California Edison (SCE), the US utility with the most solar energy in its portfolio, is making the first significant change to its distribution circuits in more than a century to accommodate more distributed PV.

Currently, the distribution circuits serve as one-way paths delivering electricity from a substation to homes and businesses in the area, each one serving about 1,200 locations.
