Global
wind
installations
are
on
track
to
recover
to
pre-recession
levels
this
year
thanks
to
explosive
Asian
demand,
after
having
decreased
in
2010
for
the
first
time
in
two
decades.
Just
under
36GW
of
wind
capacity
was
installed
in
2010
as
a
result
of
"order
books
that
sank
to
almost
zero
in
some
markets"
during
the
financial
crisis,
according
to
Steve
Sawyer,
secretary-general
of
the
Global
Wind
Energy
Council
(GWEC).
