Judge denies GE anti-trust motion

A US federal judge has denied a motion by wind turbine giant GE to dismiss the anti-trust lawsuit brought against it by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries last spring.



Seattle: However, Judge J Leon Holmes, in the US District Court for the Western District of Arkansas, has put the case on hold, pending the outcome of ongoing patent-infringement suits in three separate courts. If "GE prevails in any of the infringement actions, then Mitsubishi's claims in this action will be moot because GE will have the right to exclude Mitsubishi from the market", Holmes writes in his opinion.
