OMM wins UK subsea cable work

Subsea cable and survey specialist Offshore Marine Management (OMM) has landed contracts on the UK's Barrow and Burbo Bank wind farms.



BRISTOL: The assignment on Barrow, a joint venture between Denmark's Dong Energy and Britain's Centrica, will encompass inspection of the 27km export cable from the wind farm to landfall at Heysham, along with any remedial operations needed, such as jetting, diving and mattressing of the line.

On Dong's Burbo Bank wind farm, OMM will handle cable survey work for the three 8.6km export cables running to Wallasey, as well as for 500 metres of inter-array cables.
