Martifer sells Galp 15% of Ventinveste

Martifer Renewables has sold a 15% stake in the Portuguese Ventinveste wind farm joint venture to oil and gas company Galp Energia for about €5m ($6.8m).

The deal involved the sale of a 50% share in Parque Eólico Penha da Gardunha, which held 30% of Ventinveste shares.

The transaction leaves Galp Energia with 49% of Ventinveste, Portuguese renewables company Martifer with 46.6%, REpower with 2.4% and Efacec with 2%.

Ventinveste won a tender in September 2007 to develop and construct 400 megawatts of wind farms for connection to the national grid.
