PowerWind installs in Poland and Romania

German wind turbine manufacturer PowerWind has installed turbines in Poland and Romania, and says that new sales contracts are in the works.



LONDON: PowerWind installed two 900-kilowatt (kW) PowerWind 56 turbines near Toplet in Romania, and three turbines in Ludkowo and Chelmiczki in Poland.

"Besides the technological concept of the turbine, we were impressed by the fact that the PowerWind 56 is particularly well suited to logistically challenging sites," says Rainer Kniehl, adviser to PowerWind's Romanian customer Monsson Alma, one of the country's leading wind farm developers.
