Areva says that there are currently projects with a capacity of 37 gigawatts in the pipeline in the European offshore wind market.
Areva snaps up German turbine-blade manufacturer
French nuclear giant Areva has signed an agreement to buy German blade manufacturer PN Rotor from Prokon Nord Energiesysteme, adding to its growing presence in the offshore wind-turbine segment.
