Federal and state prosecutors in the state of Ceará have filed lawsuits against Bons Ventos for environmental devastation and not securing appropriate construction licences.
State bank takes over funding
The Brazilian development bank, BNDES, has approved R$258.5m ($150m) in financing for four wind farms in the northeast of the country after they lost out on funding promised from another government source.
