Iberdrola gets consent for Whitelee expansion

Iberdrola subsidiary ScottishPower Renewables has received consent from the Scottish government to develop a second extension of the Whitelee onshore wind farm - Europe's biggest.

Iberdrola had an installed capacity of 10.5 gigawatts (GW) at the end of September 2009 and a pipeline of more than 57.4GW.
