He has sought to allay concerns by pledging to be a good owner of the assets, which include two electricity plants - 100MW Reykjanes and 75MW Svartsengi - and a 150MW-equivalent district heating system at Svartsengi.
Magma hot on $84.5m deal for Iceland's Orka
After buying up bits and pieces of Icelandic geothermal producer HS Orka over the past three quarters, Magma Energy has reached an $84.5m deal with shareholder Geysir Green Energy that would raise its stake to 98.5%.
