Gamesa has completed a turbine nacelle assembly plant with an annual capacity of 500MW in China's wind-rich Jilin province.
The factory in Da'an will produce nacelles for Gamesa's G9X-2.0MW turbine. The Spanish company is currently building two plants in Tianjin and Inner Mongolia. It already has four facilities in Tianjin, making blades, nacelles, generators and gearboxes.
"Gamesa continues to tap into the opportunities being thrown up by the fast-growing markets such as China," says Gamesa China chief executive José Antonio Miranda.
