Q Cells supplies 15MW PV for UK

Germany-based Hanwha Q Cells has supplied 15MW in PV modules for the Ellough solar plant in Suffolk, eastern England, for UK developer Lark Energy.

As the 58,000 Q.PRO-G3 modules were delivered and installed in March, the solar array still qualifies for the country’s March 2014 renewables obligation certificates (ROC) deadline, Q Cells said.

"The UK is likely to become the No. 1 European PV market in 2014 and British customers increasingly value premium quality products securing reliable and long-term yields,” said Hanwha Q Cells director of sales for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, Jonathan Goose.

Hanwha Q Cells is a Germany-based unit of high quality PV modules from South Korean conglomerate Hanwha.
