The
money
–
part
of
a
$5bn
GCC
grant
–
will
help
fund
75-100MW
of
wind
and
50-75MW
of
solar
capacity
in
the
Maan
and
Aqaba
governorates
in
southern
Jordan.
The
funding
is
the
latest
in
a
string
of
international
aid
agreements
for
clean-energy
projects
in
Jordan,
including
a
$112m
loan
from
the
World
Bank
in
July
to
support
the
establishment
of
a
100MW
concentrating
solar
power
(CSP)
plant.
Jordan
is
talking
to
local
and
international
companies
over
the
implementation
of
more
than
1GW
of
wind
and
solar
projects.
