order
is
for
69
ECO100,
3MW
turbines
and
six
ECO
74,
1.67MW
turbines,
to
be
commissioned
in
May
2012.
The
contract
represents
a
breakthrough
in
the
UK
market
for
French-owned
Alstom.
The
turbines
for
the
first
phase
of
Whitelee,
which
is
currently
Europe’s
largest
onshore
wind
farm
with
322MW
of
capacity,
were
supplied
by
Siemens.

order
represents
a
major
technological
milestone,”
says

Faubel,

president
of
