The German industrial giant will provide 140 units of its SWT-2.3-101 turbine to Samsung Renewable Energy Inc., Capital Power LP and the Pattern Energy Group.

The order includes a long-term service and maintenance agreement.

The K2 Wind Ontario park is slated to be operational in mid-2015.

The blades for the project will be manufactured at the Siemens blade facility in Tillsonburg, Ontario. Towers for the project will also be produced locally in Canada.
