Big names battle for last 700MW of Brazil supply deals
About 700 megawatts (MW) of wind-equipment supply contracts for projects sold at Brazil’s December wind tender are still up for grabs. Verbal agreements with manufacturers had been secured by developers going into the tender, in which 1.8 gigawatts (GW) of wind farms were contracted, at an average rate of R$148 ($80) per megawatt hour (MWh).
