China seeks new bids as it reneges on 2GW solar deal

Almost a year after its launch, no project developer has been assigned to the world’s largest solar power project — a 2GW facility to be built in Inner Mongolia, China. Although a deal was originally struck with US group First Solar, a competitive bidding process is now under way.
