Solar PV Design Engineer – Utility Scale Projects, Singapore

An experienced Solar PV project design engineer is required by a leading global engineering organisation to join a newly formed renewable energy team based in Singapore and focused on Asia Pacific project developments.

You will form part of a pioneering team tasked with the development of large commercial and utility scale solar PV and Solar Thermal projects regionally and lead the design of electrical, structural and mechanical project requirements. This role will cover the complete project lifecycle from initial site visit and evaluation through to design of system specifications, conceptual design of PV module placement, module evaluation/ selection, electrical balance of plant and detailed design including layout calculations/ equipment sizing. You will work closely with the project engineering team for installation and final commissioning and have the opportunity to deliver multiple projects with full support.

Those applying should have come from either an electrical or mechanical engineering background and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in PV design engineering for solar projects. You should demonstrate an excellent understanding of relevant engineering codes, electrical concepts and knowledge of PV modules available in the market. Hands on installation, construction and plant start-up experience is ideal, alongside technical knowledge of tools such as PVsyst, Retscreen and AutoCAD.
