Senior Manager/ Director – Hydro Power Projects, based in China or Hong Kong

Our client are a leading IPP with a global project portfolio utilising a variety of energy sources from traditional coal and thermal fired power plants to renewable energy and specifically Hydro Power Plants. Due to expansion of their Asian business operations they require an experienced design engineering senior manager to lead all technical aspects of new hydro power projects across Asia.

You will have complete responsibility for an experienced team of engineers accountable for initial basic design, technical tender/ proposal support, construction design and project feasibility studies. This team is working on a number of medium sized hydro projects in the region and require strong leadership for detailed planning and design review.

The successful candidate will report to the director of projects and be expected to support the on-going acquisition, development, construction and operation of hydro projects – including technical client facing and senior management duties from conceptual plant design through to commissioning.

Those applying should demonstrate a strong background in hydropower engineering, hydrology, design, tendering and project construction (through EPC partners) of hydro power plants. It is expected that you will have a minimum 15 years market experience, a proven track record at a senior management level and have a deep understanding of the Asian market – ideally including Mandarin language skills.
