Open-ended contract to start as soon as possible

EWEA is the voice of the European wind energy industry – actively promoting the utilisation of wind power on behalf of more than 650 member organisations in Europe and worldwide. Our resources are focused on lobbying and communication activities. EWEA is located in Brussels where it engages in the political decision making process on behalf of the wind power sector.

EWEA is looking for a Head of Membership & Sales.

Main Responsibilities:

Income generation

  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy and an annual membership, sales and marketing plan
  • Increase income generation from all possible sources (membership, adverts, exhibition, registrations, sponsors, etc)
  • Retain existing members
  • Develop new business in line with the EWEA strategy
  • Act as lead coordinator for the planning and implementation of all EWEA sales, marketing and membership activities
  • Ensure that EWEA provide a high quality membership service (supervise the members-only web site, directory, etc)
  • Update and analyze a range of sales statistics to better focus future sales and marketing activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Management

  • Manage a team of sales and marketing managers and assistants
  • Ensure an efficient coordination with other departments like Events and Finance
  • Implement and manage the CRM database

Budget

Income

  • In charge of all Events, membership and advertising related income
  • Expenditure
  • Manage the budget for all sales and marketing documentation and tools (design, production and dissemination)

Required Key Qualifications:

Profile:

  • Seasoned negotiator
  • Over 5 years of proven experience managing a sales and marketing unit, preferably from a membership based organisation
  • Ideally minimum 5 years experience building a membership-based association
  • Excellent people and leadership skills
  • Able to motivate and lead a young multicultural and international team
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Good planning and communication skills
  • Excellent written and oral English, oral French, other languages an asset
  • Knowledge of CRM databases
  • Analytical skills
