About the position:

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Wind Resource Manager to support our clients ambitious development portfolio, both on and offshore. These positions will report to the overall Resource Assessment Manager and the successful candidates will be active members of the Resource Assessment team.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering internal electricity production estimates and management of subcontracted analyses;
  • Designing layouts and providing early resource assessments to internal clients;
  • Managing the installation, maintenance and removal of temporary meteorological masts and LIDAR systems (onshore and offshore);
  • Training and line management of other members of the Resource Assessment team;
  • Auditing third party wind measurements from potential acquisition sites;
  • Developing methods and QA procedures for the Resource Assessment department, including internal analysis tools;
  • Contributing to research activities in wind, wave and tidal resource assessment;
  • Providing short-term production forecasts for operational wind farms.

Requirements

  • A good engineering/physical science degree or equivalent;
  • Experience in the field of wind resource assessment;
  • Strong analytical skills and very comfortable with IT;
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with engineering judgment;
  • High levels of energy, motivation and initiative;
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel;
  • Fluency in English; a second European language is advantageous;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Full clean driving license.
