Supporters plead for national RES in the US Senate energy bill

Environmental and special interest groups plus a handful of other supporters made a public plea to Majority Leader Harry Reid to include a national renewable electricity standard (RES) in an energy bill that US Senate Democrats may introduce on Tuesday.
