Australian prime minister scraps cap and trade until 2013

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has caved to political pressure and scrapped his proposed cap-and-trade scheme until 2013 at the earliest, opting to sit still until a successor treaty to the Kyoto Protocol is agreed.
