EC earmarks €2bn for renewables, CCS projects

The European Commission on Wednesday proposed spending nearly €2bn ($2.6bn) expanding the continent’s offshore wind power capacity and developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects, as part of wider plans to combat the deepening recession.
