US blow to Copenhagen as hopes fade for 2009 bill

Hopes that the US Senate will pass a climate change bill ahead of the Copenhagen climate change summit, or even this year, have been dashed after Majority Leader Harry Reid agreed to delay a floor vote in response to pressure from Republican senators.
