The group, owned by the global AES Corporation, is also expected to build 1.5GW of thermoelectric power and is already develoing a 550MW natural gas project, which has been registered for the A-5 tender in October.
The holding group’s AES Wind Generation operates more than 1.7GW of wind capacity in the US, China and Europe, but none in Brazil. AES Tietê today operates 2.6GW
